Error: Insufficient space in track

There is not enough room available to paste the selection

  • You only get this if you have unchecked "Editing a clip can move other clips" in Tracks behaviors preferences.
  • Note that it is checked "on" by default

There is not enough room available to expand the cut line

How you might het this occurong:

1. Preferences, enable cut lines.
2. Cut some audio from middle of some audio
3. Put some more audio (another clip) a little after the now reduced audio
4. Click on the 'cut line' to expand it... and oh dear.
