Menu Reference
From Audacity Development Manual
Every command in audacity should appear in one of audacity's menus, and is documented on these pages:
- File Menu - commands for working with Audacity project files and other audio files
- Edit Menu - commands for altering the audio in your project
- View Menu - commands for changing how audacity and your project appear on screen.
- Project Menu - commands for advanced working with audacity projects
- Generate Menu - commands for creating new audio data in your project. Audio generating plugins will also appear in here.
- Effect Menu - commands for processing the audio in your project. External Effects plugins will also appear in this menu.
- Analyze Menu - commands for analysing the audio in your project. External plugins that act on audio but don't produce any audio will appear here, as well as tools like silence location and spectorgrams.
