Peter 26Aug12: ToDo I still think there is a need for this page to explain the various types of tracks but it does need some editing, it looks like a Work-In-Progress:
  1. More explanatory text, it looks vey bare as it is
  2. Example of a stereo track
  • Peter 26Aug12:I tried moving this page contents directly into a sandbox version of the Tracks Menu page (as way of keeping it stripped-back like this) but it just didn't look right there.
  • Gale 2Sep12:I don't have any bright ideas. It is not necessarily bad because it has little text. You could argue the images on that page really belong on the front page, but there are strong practical reasons why not.
Anything that is added to the Project Window will be placed inside a track container, underneath the Timeline of the project. These are the different types of tracks:

Audio tracks contain digitally sampled sounds:

Label tracks contain labels which mark specific points or selection areas in the project:

Time Tracks allow you to gradually speed up or slow down playback of all audio tracks in the project over time:

Note Tracks appear when you import MIDI files:
