JC: This page is on the way out. Its content is now in Project Window. Please edit that page instead. This page will be orphaned and deleted soon.

-- Ed 14 February 2010 I would like to keep this page as the Tracks overview page.
I also ran into the following: Warning: You are recreating a page that was previously deleted.

You should consider whether it is appropriate to continue editing this page. The deletion log for this page is provided here for convenience:

Anything that is added to your project will be placed inside a track container, underneath the timeline of the project. These are the different types of tracks:

Audio tracks contain digitally sampled sounds.
Label tracks contain labels which mark specific points or selection areas in the project.
Time Tracks allow you to gradually speed up or slow down playback of all audio tracks in the project over time.
Note Tracks display data from MIDI files.

-- Ed 14 February 2010 just a place to hold this material for now:

Note Tracks display data from MIDI files - these can be imported with the File > Import MIDI... command. Note Tracks are not currently editable or playable, but can be useful to visually compare a given MIDI file with a sampled audio file (such as WAV) of the same music.
