Alternative "Menu" span/template colours:

In the previous discussion, #2 was chosen as the new menu highlight colour. It does not work well in the advice template.

1. Click on Effect >Amplify #FFFFCC previous colour
2. Click on Effect >Amplify #FFEEAA Steve +0.5; Gale +1; Peter +1
3. Click on Effect >Amplify #FFEECC Bill +1
4. Click on Effect >Amplify #FFDDAA Steve +1

The current colour in an advice template:

The four rules for keeping your Audacity Project happy: When importing an uncompressed audio file with the "Read uncompressed file directly from the original (faster)" option checked in Import / Export Preferences never move, rename or delete that file unless you first copy it into the Audacity project. See File > Check Dependencies for more information. Never move, delete or rename any of the files or folders inside the _data folder. Never rename the AUP file or the _data folder. If you want to rename your project (for example, to save a snapshot at a particular point), use the File > Save Project As... command. Always keep the AUP file and the _data folder together in the same directory (folder).

The "Shortcut" span

In the previous discussion, #1 below was chosen as the new shorcut highlight colour. It does not work well in the note template.

1. Press CTRL + A. Gale +1; Steve +1; Bill -0.5, Peter +1
2. Press CTRL + A. Gale -1, Peter -1
3. Press CTRL + A. Steve +1; Bill +0.5; Gale -1, Peter -1
4. Press CTRL + A. Gale +1
5. Press CTRL + A. Bill +1 (changing my vote)
6. Press CTRL + A. Or Gale +1 for this key span also

The current colour in a note template:

I can see a case to returning to the grey highlight:
