Page where James sketches out the lists of images we would like to autogenerate. A key point is to create families of images, as that is where automation benefits most

Already Have

We already have:

• Ability to extract a complete list of all menu items and their states, and generate hyperlinked images of the menus
  • Addtiionally this can be used for automatically creating the list of Keyboard Shortcuts
• Ability to capture all EGAs in their default state.
• Ability to capture all pages of the preferences dialog.
• Ability to upload images and update pages in bulk.

Toolbars

We will require Ability to show cursor on an image. Ability to draw white area around, diagonal arrows and blue text on images. Ability to put borders around sub regions in image maps. Ability to add drop shadows to dialogs.

• Annotated image-map images like this one, but now for all toolbars (11 images) plus images of both docks (2 images):

• And here's a second attempt at an annotated EditToolbar. Using a smaller font and wider arrow lines. The image needs a larger canvas so that the hyperlink text boxes can have some border relative to the text.

Waves

• All wave anatomy diagrams, like this one but using the same styling as the toolbars (estimated 35 images)
  • Styling is same bold blue text, diagonal arrows and more space around the image as the toolbars
  • Now to include image map links too.

• All generators, a screenshot of the wave after generation.
• Selected effects, e.g. Echo, Truncate Silence, showing how the waveform has changed.
• Images for Audacity Tracks and Clips showing how clips are moved around.

Note that the clip rearrangement is closer to a script for a video, with ability to take screenshots of key steps.
