Hi there,

Recently I started to take care of updating the German wiki. Background is that whilst using Audacity I had to look up some features of the program and recognised there's an urgent need for translators, so I said to myself 'Hey, you're taking advantage of open source programs for years, why not giving something back?' I can't promise how much or how fast I'm able to commit on the wiki atm. but am trying to work a few hours every week on the project. Let's see how it goes!

Feel free to post any questions, suggestions and other issues concerning the German translation on my discussion page. If you don't have any, feel free to post and say hello anyway. ;)

• Peter 06Feb15: Hi Ralf und wilkommen - with regard to the Main page - be aware that we are currently in the process of updating the key imagemap of the Audacity window - depending which one we choose we may need to change the order of the "menu" above the imagemap. note also that the German front page says 2.0.4 - but this is the alpha Manual for 2.1.0
